One to seven, grey to red, three to four, tread to thread, 2022
Research project and solo exhibition at Buitenplaats Doornburgh

Research presentation on three former beds of the Sisters of the Order of the Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre. Furniture designed by Jan de Jong.

On the occasion of my solo exhibition One to seven, grey to red, three to four, tread to thread at Buitenplaats Doornburgh, I wrote Correcties; an essay booklet that accompanies the works in the exhibition as well being a meditation on my three-month residency at this former monastery earlier this year.

In the essay, I try to weave 'soft corrections' into the hard architecture (brick, cement, concrete) of the Bossche School. An exploration that leads along the primitive hut, prehistoric women's weaving works, Scottish tartans, and the local brick industry of the Vecht region.
