The Succession examines the destruction of a 19th-century Neo-classicistic mansion and stable farm during the bombardment of Arnhem during World War II.
The title hints to ‘a line of succession’, a sequence of consecutive buildings which are linked together through time. A title that is about how one place can have several memories, of all the different houses and buildings that once stood there.
